GHRCEM, Nagpur successfully Organised A National Level Ideathon

The Department of Information Technology, in collaboration with the GeeksforGeeks Campus Body, GHRCEM, successfully organized a National Level Ideathon under the theme “Innovate and Win!” The event aimed to foster innovation, creativity, and problem-solving among students across the nation.

The competition was structured in two rounds:

Round 1 – Online PPT Submission (19th September 2025): Participants proposed their innovative ideas through a presentation, evaluated on novelty, feasibility, and social impact.

Round 2 – Offline Pitching Round (30th September 2025): Shortlisted teams presented their ideas before a panel of esteemed judges and received valuable feedback on their concepts and implementation plans. The results for the online round were declared on 21st September 2025, after which finalists advanced to the in-person pitching round. The event received 200+ registrations from multiple institutes (GHRCEM, PCCOE, MITCOE, Parul University, Gujarat) showcasing the enthusiasm and innovative spirit of young technologists nationwide. The judging panel included Mr. Sumeet Bhigardive (CEO, Teksmik) & Mr. Nishiskanth Shinde (Tech lead, Infosys) who evaluated the finalists based on creativity, practicality, and impact of their solutions.

The total prize pool of ₹10,000 was distributed among the top three teams as follows:

Winner : Matrix

1st Runner up : Innovate-X

2nd Runner up: Manas

The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Ms. Juhi Agrawal (Faculty Coordinator) and Dr. Poonam Gupta (HoD, IT Department), whose mentorship and encouragement were instrumental in its execution. The department expresses sincere gratitude to Dr. N. B. Hulle (Campus Director) and Dr. R. D. Kharadkar (Director) for their continued support in promoting student-led initiatives that bridge creativity and technology. This Ideathon served as a remarkable platform for aspiring innovators to transform their ideas into impactful solutions, reinforcing GHRCEM’s commitment to cultivating an ecosystem of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
