The Institute Level Avishkar 2025 – Innovation & Research Project Competition was successfully organized on 17^th September 2025 from 11:30 AM to 02:00 PM by G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Pune. The competition aimed to promote creativity, innovation, and research culture among students by providing them with a platform to showcase their project ideas and prototypes. The event provided a platform for students to present their innovative research projects and creative ideas to expert evaluators.

Categories of Participation

Projects were accepted across six major categories as defined under the Avishkar Competition framework:

1.      Humanities, Languages & Fine Arts

2.      Commerce, Management & Law

3.      Pure Sciences

4.      Agriculture & Animal Husbandry

5.      Engineering & Technology

6.      Medicine & Pharmacy

This multidisciplinary approach ensured broad student participation, bringing together innovative perspectives from diverse academic fields.

Event Format & Guidelines

·         Presentation Mode: All participants prepared A3-size printed posters to visually communicate their project concepts.

·         Demonstrations: Teams were encouraged to showcase models or live demonstrations of their innovative projects to enhance understanding and impact.

·         Team Size: A Maximum of two members per team was allowed to ensure equal participation and effective collaboration.

·         Selection Criteria: The Top 3 projects in each category were shortlisted for nomination to the Zonal Level Avishkar 2025 Competition.

Evaluation Process

Two invited experts for Avishkar 2025 evaluated the projects:

·         Mr. Gajanan Trikutkar

·         Mr. Sameer Paranjape

The evaluation was based on relevance, methodology adopted, contribution, innovations and outcome, as instructed by SPPU. Each team interacted with the judges through poster discussions and Q&A sessions, gaining constructive feedback for further improvement. Both judges brought valuable expertise in innovation, entrepreneurship, and technical evaluation, ensuring a fair and insightful assessment of student projects.

Event Highlights

·         Enthusiastic participation from students across different departments of the institute.

·         Innovative and socially relevant ideas showcased in poster and model formats.

·         Each team gave a presentation followed by a Q&A session with the judges, where they were assessed on novelty, feasibility, societal impact, and research potential.

·         Judges appreciated the originality of several projects and guided students with valuable suggestions.

·         A healthy, competitive spirit and research-driven environment were created throughout the event.

·         The event provided an excellent opportunity for students to receive expert guidance and constructive feedback for improving their projects.

Outcomes

·         Shortlisting for Zonal Level: The best three projects from each of the six categories were nominated for the upcoming Zonal Level Avishkar 2025 Competition.

·         Skill Enhancement: Students gained practical experience in poster presentation, project pitching, and prototype demonstration.

·         Research Culture Promotion: The event strengthened the institute’s commitment to encouraging research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The Institute Level Avishkar 2025 – Innovation & Research Project Competition at G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Pune was a resounding success. With active involvement of students and the expert evaluation by Mr. Gajanan Trikutkar and Mr. Sameer Paranjape, the competition identified some of the most promising ideas for higher-level contests. The event not only motivated students to think innovatively but also showcased the institute’s strong culture of creativity, research, and problem-solving.
