Toastmasters Meet Organised at GHRU, Amaravti
The Toastmasters Club of G H Raisoni University Amravati organised the Toastmasters Meet on 16/9/25. The meeting was started by the roleplayer Sergeant At Arms. The presiding officer was called; she officially started the meet by banging the gavel two times as a sign of the start and also stated the history of Toastmasters.
Next roleplayer, Toastmaster of the Day, was introduced and she efficiently carried the meeting and led it to the end successfully. She introduced everyone to the segments of the day — prepared speeches and impromptu speeches. Further, the General Evaluator skillfully handled the meeting and introduced the TAG team and evaluators to the audience and guests, coordinating with the TMOD. She evaluated proceedings throughout the meet. Now the TAG team's remaining members came forward: as Timer — she explained her role and time details related to the speeches and meet; and as Ah‑Counter — he explained his role and kept count of unnecessary words, sounds and pauses used throughout. After this the evaluators came forward and presented their reports. Later, the TMOD carried out the prepared speeches round and all three participants passed with flying colours by the audience poll. Next, to add more spice and connect the audience to Toastmasters’ mission, the Table Topics Master was introduced; she playfully and accurately arranged the table‑topic round for the audience to come and speak impromptu, and we received some new Toastmasters. Finally, the TAG team presented the overall reports, followed by the evaluators with their prepared‑speech reports. Later the TMOD conducted a felicitation ceremony by our guests for the day, decided by audience poll, and we received the Bests of the Day. Lastly, the meet was concluded by a short thanking speech by the SAA and she officially closed the meeting by banging the gavel two times as a sign of the end. The hard work of all the Toastmasters paid off. The event in‑charge was Mrs Ashwini Rathi, Communication Trainer, GHRU.
