GHRU, Amravati Organized “Utsav Mangalmurticha” Photography Contest 2025

The Photography Club of G H Raisoni University, Amravati organised the "Utsav Mangalmurticha Photography Contest 2025" with enthusiastic participation from students across programmes. The event aimed to encourage creativity, cultural awareness and photographic skills. Registrations were completed a day before the contest. Prof Shailendra Chikte and Dr Swati Ambadakar served as judges.

Categories

1. Society Ganpati – Capturing unity, cultural heritage and social bonding during community Ganesh celebrations. 

2. Home’s Ganpati – Highlighting devotion, faith and the warmth of family celebrations. 

3. Mahalaxmi Decoration – Showcasing artistry, beauty and the spiritual significance of Mahalaxmi festival decorations.

Participation & highlights

- A large number of students submitted entries across all three categories. 

- Each photograph reflected creativity, unique perspective and strong cultural connection. 

- The competition created an atmosphere of festivity and artistic expression on campus.

Judgement & results

A panel of judges evaluated entries on creativity, originality, composition and cultural relevance. Hon. Vice‑Chancellor Dr Vinayak Deshpande motivated the students with his guidance. Results were declared by Photography Club coordinator Ms Komal Dangre and certificates were distributed. A total of 23 students participated, submitting 62 photographs across the three categories.

- 2nd: Mr Ninad Kolhe, LLB (3rd year) 

Home’s Ganpati 

- 1st: Ms Janhavi Ghuge, BTech Civil (2nd year) 

- 2nd: Mr Vinit Gulhane, BTech CSE (2nd year) 

Mahalaxmi Decoration 

- 1st: Ms Smruti Jadhav, BTech (3rd year) 

- 2nd: Ms Gauri Paradhi, BTech CSE (2nd year)

The contest was a grand success, celebrating cultural spirit and photographic talent on campus.
