GHRCEM, Jalgaon Organised Ganesh Idol Making Workshop

GHRCEM, Jalgaon organised a Ganesh Idol Making Workshop on 18 August 2025, run by the Art and Craft Club to promote eco‑friendly celebrations and student creativity. Students from MBA, BBA, BCA, MCA and B.Tech took part, working with clay to fashion idols of Lord Ganesha that blended traditional motifs with contemporary design touches.

Faculty members guided participants through modelling techniques, detailing and finishing, while emphasising the use of natural, biodegradable materials to lessen environmental impact during the festival. The session encouraged experimentation—students explored varied textures, colours and small decorative elements, producing a range of simple to elaborate idols.

The workshop fostered cultural values, environmental awareness and hands‑on learning, giving students an opportunity to express artistic skills and learn collaborative working. Organisers arranged a brief display of selected idols so the college community could view the results. The event concluded on a cheerful note, celebrated as a successful and meaningful part of the Ganpati festivities.
