GHRCEM, Pune Hosts Insightful Guest Lecture on Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Technology
The Department of Electrical Engineering at G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Pune, organized a thought-provoking guest lecture on "Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Technology: Can EVs Power Homes and Cities?" as part of its continued commitment to sustainable energy education. The session was conducted under the banner of the e-Vehicle Club in association with the Student Chapter of the Solar Energy Society of India (SESI). The event drew the interest of faculty members, students, and industry professionals keen on exploring cutting-edge developments in electric vehicle (EV) integration with power grids. The guest speaker, Mr. Sharad Pustake, President at the Foundation for Interdisciplinary Research, shared valuable insights on how Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology can transform the way energy is stored and distributed. He discussed the potential of EVs not only as transportation tools but also as mobile energy storage units capable of powering homes and cities, contributing to grid stability and supporting the shift toward renewable energy. Around 60 students attended the session. Feedback from students was very good lecture. The session took place on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and was coordinated by Dr. Asha Shendge. The event was supported by Dr. V. M.
