Book Review Competition
A “Book Review” competition for the students from all the departments was organized by Reading club at GHRU Saikheda on 30th July 2022. Plenty of the students has participated in this event and it has been successfully executed. The event was organized under the patron ship of Vice Chancellor Meena Rajesh, Registrar Mr. Shriram Joshi and all the deans and HODs of all the departments. The Book- Review competition was organized with the objective of developing student’s critical and analytical abilities. To encourage them to read literature and analyse literacy text has been the motive behind organizing this event. The department of library along with department of English have always had the aim of developing the love for reading among students. We feel that our efforts materialized to some extent. The Reading Club chose and selected the books to be reviewed keeping in view the popularity of various literary text among the students.
The list of books selected for the Book-review competition is as follow.

3) As a man Thinket
4) The power of your subconscious mind
5) Think like do vinci
6) 3 Mistakes of my life
7) Two States
8) Love people use things
9) Wings of Fire
10) Three men in the boat
11) The girl is on the train
12) Death an inside the story
13) You can win.
14) The Alchemist
Total fourteen responses were received from all the department. It was executed group wise and solo. All the participating students had tried their best to analyse the above enlisted texts critically. Various important themes and techniques of the selected novels were discussed and elaborated with many textual references. The organizing committee decided the five prizes for the winners as follow.
1st 1200/, 2nd 800/, 3rd 500/, 4th 200/ 5th 200/
The committee appointed three judges for the competition Mr. Dr. D.S Murthy (Law Dept ), Mr. Umang Dhoke ( Management and Commerce dept ), Mr. Alok Joshi ( T&P Dept ).
