GHRCEM, Jalgaon Organized Session on Health & Fitness
The Health and Fitness Lecture, organized by the Sports Club on 27th March 2025, aimed to educate students on the fundamental principles of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through physical activity, proper nutrition, and mental well-being. The session emphasized the importance of regular exercise, balanced diet, stress management, and overall wellness in enhancing both academic performance and daily life productivity.
Students gained insights into how physical activity enhances cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and mental clarity, while a well-balanced diet contributes to sustained energy levels and overall well-being. Practical strategies for incorporating fitness into daily routines were discussed, along with mindfulness techniques like meditation and breathing exercises to improve concentration and reduce stress.
The key topics covered in the lecture included:
· Introduction to Health and Fitness – Understanding the components of physical and mental well-being.
· Benefits of Regular Exercise – Exploring the positive effects of physical activity on cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and mental clarity.
· Balanced Nutrition – The role of macronutrients and micronutrients in maintaining energy levels and overall health.
· Mental Well-being and Stress Management – Techniques like mindfulness, meditation, and breathing exercises to enhance concentration and reduce stress.
· Developing a Personal Fitness Plan – How to incorporate fitness into a daily routine based on individual needs and goals.
The lecture was attended by 45 students, who actively participated in discussions, asked insightful questions, and gained knowledge on integrating fitness into their lifestyle. Real-life examples and case studies were shared to highlight the significance of consistent physical activity and mindful eating habits.
The session was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Tushar Patil, Head, EnTC and Electrical Engineering department, Prof. Dhanesh S. Patil and Prof. Deepak Khadse. Student coordinators Mr. Lokesh Patil, Mr. Prasad Kumbhar and team ensured smooth execution of the event, while Mr. Sagar Sonawane (Physical Director) and Ms. Asha Patil provided essential support in managing the session. The lecture concluded with key takeaways on sustainable health practices, goal-setting for fitness, and the long-term impact of an active lifestyle, encouraging students to make informed choices towards a healthier future.
