Workshop on Stage Performance & Coordination at GHRCE, Nagpur
On March 1, 2025, the Department of Music at GHRCE, Nagpur, organized a workshop on Stage Performance and Coordination for first-year students. This event aimed to provide students with the opportunity to learn about and perform on stage while developing their coordination skills. The primary objective of the workshop was to introduce students to the process of performing a song in front of an audience. The workshop explored fundamental concepts that musicians use to understand, analyze, and create music and stage performances. Additionally, it sought to encourage students to explore their potential in music and gain confidence in their ability to perform on stage. To assess the students' understanding of the material covered in previous sessions, a viva was conducted during the workshop. This interactive component allowed students to demonstrate their knowledge and engage in discussions about their learning experiences. The music workshop was a resounding success, achieving its goal of promoting creativity and artistic exploration among first-year students. The event underscored the importance of integrating music into the academic environment to nurture well-rounded individuals. Conducted by Mr. Abhishek Damani, a guest music instructor at GHRCE, the workshop attracted 136 students and was coordinated by Prof. Swati Tiwari from the IT department, further enhancing the collaborative spirit of the event.
