Workshop on “Effortless Report Writing with LaTeX and Overleaf: A Practical Guide for Students” at GHRU, Amravati
The Innovation Club of G H Raisoni University, Amravati organised a workshop titled “Effortless Report Writing with LaTeX and Overleaf: A Practical Guide for Students.” This event aimed to introduce students to LaTeX, a high-quality typesetting system that is particularly valued for its ability to produce professional and polished documents, especially those containing complex mathematical equations and scientific notations. The event commenced with a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, including Vice Chancellor Dr. Vinayak Deshpande, Dean of Student Welfare Dr. Prashant Avchat, and the guest speaker, Dr. Bhumaiah Jula. Their presence underscored the university's commitment to enhancing students' academic skills and fostering a culture of innovation. Dr. Jula delivered an engaging presentation that provided a comprehensive overview of LaTeX and its applications in report writing. He emphasized the importance of LaTeX in producing high-quality documents that meet the rigorous standards of academic and scientific writing. The session included practical demonstrations of how to use Overleaf, a cloud-based LaTeX editor that allows for collaborative writing and publishing, making it an invaluable tool for students working on group projects. Throughout the workshop, participants were guided through the essential features of LaTeX, including formatting text, creating tables, and incorporating figures and equations.
