GHRCEM, Pune Organized Debate Competition
The Mechanical Engineering Department of GHRCEM Pune, under the Renewable Club, organized a debate competition for first-year students on February 7, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. The event focused on important topics related to renewable energy and the environment, encouraging students to engage in meaningful discussions.
The debate topics included:
· Renewable Energy vs. Fossil Fuels
· Government Mandates vs. Incentives
· Individual Responsibility vs. Corporate Responsibility
· Public Transportation vs. Personal Vehicles
Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their knowledge and passion for the subjects. The session was interactive, with attendees actively engaging by asking questions to the debate groups. Participants responded thoughtfully, demonstrating their awareness of current statistics and trends related to renewable energy and environmental issues. The program began with an introduction by Mr. N. P. Sirdeshmukh, who emphasized that the outcomes of the event would inspire and nurture individual mindsets towards supporting environmental activities, energy conservation, and the importance of renewable energy. The debate competition was a success, with a total of 20 students from different divisions participating and attending the event. The engaging discussions and exchange of ideas made the session both informative and enjoyable for everyone involved.
