The Peer Counselor's Club of G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management organized an inspiring event, a Short Skit, in Room No. 316 of the E Building to commemorate Mental Health Week. This event aimed to spread awareness about mental health and social issues, focusing on the theme of Mental Health in the Workplace. The skit addressed four main topics: "Voices of the Voiceless," "The Weight of Unseen Stress," "Support Starts with Listening," and "Perfectionism: The Hidden Trap." The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Ajay Dahake, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, and Mr. Pravin Lingade, who served as judges for the skit. Their insightful speeches significantly impacted the audience, emphasizing the importance of mental health awareness and recognizing the efforts of the Peer Counselor's Club in fostering a supportive college culture.

The Short Skit event was led by Peer Counselors Yash Mishra and Aakriti Singh, with remarkable contributions from their fellow members of Peer Counseling Club Batch 3. The winning skit, performed by Peer Counselors Yash Mishra, Ayan Shaikh, Mansi Bang, Pravin Paithankar, and Manmath Minke, focused on the challenges faced by a deaf and mute girl who experiences harassment. Through a powerful portrayal, the skit highlighted issues of discrimination, harassment, and the importance of supporting marginalized individuals. It left a lasting impact on the audience, emphasizing empathy, resilience, and the critical role of peer support in overcoming adversity. Mrs. Surabhi Pranav, Counseling Psychologist at GHRCEM, delivered an insightful speech on the relevance of mental health initiatives in the workplace, praising the students for their efforts and encouraging continued advocacy for mental health awareness.

The success of the event is a testament to the dedication and teamwork of the Peer Counselor's Club Batch 3 members, who collaborated to deliver a captivating performance while ensuring the message of the skit resonated with the audience. The interactive nature of the play encouraged students to reflect on their own experiences and consider the importance of peer counseling and mental health support in the workplace. In conclusion, the Short Skit was a meaningful and engaging event that showcased the talents of the students while reinforcing the college’s commitment to mental health awareness in the workplace. The event's success can be attributed to the motivation and inspiration provided by Campus Director Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, as initiatives like these enable the Peer Counselor’s Club to foster a positive, supportive, and empathetic campus culture.
