Impromptu Oratory

Impromptu Oratory Event by the Peer Counselor's Club at G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Pune

In celebration of World Mental Health Week, the Peer Counselor's Club of G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management organized an engaging event titled "Impromptu Oratory" at GHRCEM, Pune. This initiative aimed to spread awareness about mental health and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. The event was particularly significant due to its focus on mental health challenges, which are increasingly relevant among young adults in academic settings. The presence of Mrs. Surabhi Pranav, a Counseling Psychologist at GHRCEM, added prestige to the event as she expressed her support and appreciation for the efforts of the Peer Counselor's Club, highlighting the importance of mental health awareness as a vital component of the college’s culture.

The Impromptu Oratory event was led by Peer Counselors Tanushree Yaltiwar and Sanika Kamminwar, along with their fellow members from Peer Counseling Club Batch 3, who played a crucial role in ensuring the event's success. The event provided a platform for students to express their views on the theme “The college day that changed my life,” allowing them to share unique insights and strategies that contribute to the broader conversation on mental health. From 24 participating teams, the best speakers were selected for a semi-final round, where they faced an impromptu topic presented by Mrs. Surabhi Pranav: “The anecdotal evidence of your life when you faced challenges and fought back.” With minimal preparation time, participants delivered on-the-spot speeches, showcasing their ability to think quickly and creatively. The final round featured five outstanding performances, with Peer Counselor Tejashvi Tiwari being declared the winner for an exceptional speech. The success of this event is a testament to the dedication and teamwork of the Peer Counselor's Club Batch 3, which not only delivered a captivating experience but also emphasized the importance of mental health in professional settings. The event's success can be attributed to the inspiring leadership of Campus Director Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, as the Peer Counselor’s Club continues to foster a positive, supportive, and empathetic campus culture
