Mehendi Competition

On 22nd August 2024, the DIY Club of GHRCEM Pune organized a Mehendi Competition to celebrate the art and tradition of Mehendi. The event aimed to showcase the creativity & talents of the students while promoting cultural heritage and fostering a sense of community among participants. More than 35 students participate actively and key point is that most of them are boys also.

The objective of the Mehendi Competition at GHRCEM Pune was to:

Encourage students to express their creativity through the traditional art form of Mehendi.

Promote cultural awareness and appreciation among students.

Provide a platform for students to demonstrate and enhance their artistic skills.

Foster a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie among participants. Recognize and reward outstanding artistic expression in Mehendi design.

Event Significance:-The competition not only highlighted the importance of cultural traditions but also empowered students to explore and express their artistic abilities through Mehendi. The event was a successful initiative in promoting cultural heritage and fostering a supportive community within the institution.

Acknowledgements:-The event was coordinated by DIY Club leader Gagan Tawari and Shivanshi Yadav, fellow members Swarali Patil,Mansi Bang and Gupta along with faculty Co-ordinator Mrs. Surabhi Pranav and organized under the leadership and guidance of Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, Campus Director, GHRCEM, Pune.

Conclusion:- The Mehendi Competition was a significant step towards celebrating and preserving cultural traditions among students. The event’s success is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the DIY Club, the participants, and the faculty, ensuring a meaningful and impactful experience for all involved.
