World Population Day 11 July 2022

 The World Population Day was started with the United Nation’s General Assembly in 1989 to generate awareness around the issues that may rise along with the rising population and the negative effect that this has on the ecosystem.  The students of 2^nd Year BCA and B.Sc(IT) presented a skit on the theme   “A world of 8 billion: Towards a resilient future for all – Harnessing opportunities and ensuring rights and choices for all”.

The skit showcased  the problems that have come up because of population explosion in India.  Problems such as insufficient medical facilities, unemployment, water scarcity, traffic jams etc. which are the result of growing population were beautifully enacted by the students. They emphasized on the fact that literacy was important in order to understand this issue and it is the duty of every citizen to ensure the building of a resilient future.

The staff and students enjoyed the skit. The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Prof. Samiha Khan.
