GHRCEM, Pune Organised Murti Making Event Workshop
On September 10, 2024, the Fine Art and Craft Club organized an engaging event titled “Art of Divine: Murti Making,” which included both a workshop and a competition. The event attracted a total of 140 registrations, with 97 students actively participating. Designed specifically for first, second, and third-year students, this event provided a unique blend of creative learning and hands-on experience, focusing on the art of crafting clay models. Participants not only had the opportunity to express their artistic talents but also gained a deeper understanding of form, structure, and design through this traditional art form.
The event featured several highlights, including workshop sessions where students learned the fundamentals of clay modeling, from selecting materials to shaping and detailing their creations. Participants were encouraged to explore their imagination and translate their ideas into tangible art pieces, guided through the entire process of creating their own clay models. The competition was structured to ensure fair judging within groups, fostering peer-to-peer inspiration and collaboration. Overall, “Art of Divine: Murti Making” served as both an educational opportunity and a creative outlet, allowing students to showcase their talents and express themselves artistically.
