Industrial Visit to CDAC by GHRCEM, Pune Students

The Industry Visit organized by the Computer Engineering Department of GHRCEM, Pune, in collaboration with the Programming Ethics & Ethical Hacking Club and the IEEE Student Branch, took place on September 27, 2024, at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). A group of 50 students, accompanied by faculty members Dr. Sarita Patil, Mr. Girish Awadhwal, and Ms. Pranita Patil, aimed to gain insights into advanced computing technologies, ongoing research projects, and career opportunities in the information technology sector. The visit began with an overview of CDAC's history, mission, and major achievements, providing students with a foundational understanding of the organization's impact on computing advancements in India.

The highlight of the visit included a series of engaging presentations and demonstrations led by key members of CDAC. Students learned about current projects in High-Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML), as well as software development practices for various applications. Demonstrations showcased real-time data processing applications and simulation tools used in sectors like healthcare and agriculture, offering practical insights into how technology addresses real-world challenges. Overall, the visit was an enriching experience that inspired students to explore potential career paths in the rapidly evolving field of information technology.
