India's renewable energy sector is at a pivotal moment. While the country has made significant progress in expanding renewable capacity, it must now tackle substantial infrastructural, financial, and policy challenges. A successful energy transition will depend on ongoing government support, technological innovation—particularly in energy storage—and coordinated efforts to modernize the grid and address land-use issues. Additionally, improving energy efficiency in the industrial sector is crucial, along with overcoming major hurdles in technological development and current research areas.
A total of 76 students from various branches participated in the event, with Mr. Kamal Ukey and Mr. N. P. Sirdeshmukh playing key roles in generating interest among students. Many students expressed enthusiasm for undertaking solar and wind renewable energy projects as part of their academic work.
