Expert Session on “Use of 3D - Printing in Renewable Energy Sector” at GHRCEM, Pune

The Renewable Club of GHRCEM, Pune organized an expert session on “Use of 3D Printing in the Renewable Energy Sector” on March 5, 2024. The major objective of the event was to spread awareness about the role of 3D printing in the renewable energy Sector. Speaker Dr Anil R. Sahu, a Professor in the mechanical Department, elaborated on the topic with directions like Current 3D printing technology and various renewable energy sectors in which 3D printing is helpful. By making use of renewable energy sources and reusing existing materials, 3D printing can offer an eco-friendly, cost-effective solution to energy consumption. Additionally, by utilizing the excess heat produced in the printing process, the use of energy in the industrial sector can be made more efficient. Major hurdles in technological development, Current research area, etc. 43 students from different branches participated in the event. Mr. N. P. Sardeshmukh and Mr. Kamal Ukey made efforts to create interest among students. Students expressed their willingness to undertake 3D printing and renewable projects as part of academic projects.
