Food decoration and Fruit cutting Event at GHRU, Saikheda

The food decoration and fruits cutting event were organized by the food club of G H Raisoni University, Saikheda, on 21st February 2024 at GH Raisoni University, Riaan Tower Campus, Mangalwari, Nagpur. In this event we had a guest Chef. Gaurav Gomase from G H Raisoni school of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Students of the university participated in the event and understood the importance of nutritious and healthy eating in an attractive way. They gained knowledge of different types of salad and intricate fruit cuttings. They also studied Cuisinart of salad and fruit decoration. Around thirty six students participated in salad making from university and enjoyed the event enthusiastically. The event was supervised by the dean students’ council, Mrs. Anmol Dhavande. The event was conducted successfully by the in charge of the Food Club, Mrs Chaitali Barai. Club member Shrushti Kirpane also assisted in making the event successful.

Objectives of the Event:

1. To involve the students in Cuisinart salad and fruit decoration.

2. To gain knowledge of different types of salad and intricate fruit cuttings.

3. To impart the value of healthy and nutritious foods attractively. 

4. To help gain knowledge about different pillars of salad making and the various precautions to be taken while preparing food.

Outcomes:

  1. Students understood the importance of healthy and nutritious food in life.
  2. Students improved their understanding of the salad.
  3. Around thirty-six students from the university enjoyed the food decoration creativity.
