Inter College Box Cricket Tournament Organised at GHRU, Amravati

The Inter-College Box Cricket League Tournament 2026 was successfully organized by G H Raisoni University, Amravati, on March 7, 2026, bringing together young cricket enthusiasts from various colleges. The tournament featured 12 teams competing with great enthusiasm, showcasing their cricketing talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The event commenced with an inauguration ceremony in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. The chief guests included Dr. Prashant Awchat, Dean of Student Welfare, and Dr. Snehil Jaiswal, Registrar. Other respected dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr. Chetan Bobade, Prof. Hemant Dahake, Dr. Sachin Padole, Prof. Altaf Khan, Manish Pachkawade, Bhushan Patankar, Prof. Bhushan Parikar, and Dr. Amar More. Their encouraging words motivated the players and marked an energetic beginning to the tournament.

The matches were conducted smoothly under the supervision of tournament umpires Shubham Pawar, Kartik Kuthe, and Shantanu More, who ensured fair play and maintained the spirit of the game throughout the event.

After a series of competitive matches, 7 Strikers from Vidya Bharti Mahavidyalaya, Amravati, emerged as the champions with an outstanding performance. They were awarded the first prize of ₹7,000 along with a trophy. The runner-up team, Naga Strikers from G H Raisoni University, Amravati, displayed excellent gameplay and determination, receiving the second prize of ₹5,000 along with a trophy.

Individual performances were also recognized:

·         Man of the Tournament: Aditya Yadav (Vidya Bharti Mahavidyalaya, Amravati)

·         Best Batsman: Aditya Yadav (Vidya Bharti Mahavidyalaya, Amravati)

·         Best Bowler: Tushar (G H Raisoni University, Amravati)

The closing ceremony was held in the presence of dignitaries including Prof. Bhushan Parikar, Prof. Kunal Borkar, Prof. Mohd. Rehan, and Dr. Amar More. The winners, runners-up, and individual award recipients were felicitated with trophies and prizes.
