GHRU, Amravati Organised “DIPOTSAV – Photography Contest 2025”

The Photography Club of G H Raisoni University, Amravati organised “DIPOTSAV – Photography Contest 2025” to provide students with a platform for healthy competition and cultural expression. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. The main objective of the contest was to encourage creativity, cultural awareness, and photography skills among students. The event received an excellent response, with registrations completed a day prior to the competition. The competition was judged by Dr. Bhawana Karmore and Dr. Sachin Padole, who evaluated the photographs based on creativity, originality, composition, and cultural relevance.

Contest Categories

1. Best Rangoli Capturing vibrant colours and detailed designs of traditional Indian rangoli.
2. Festive Decor Delight Showcasing Diwali decorations in homes, streets, and public spaces.
3. Best Traditional Attire Highlighting the beauty, colours, and textures of traditional Indian clothing.
4. Night Light Photography Capturing the beauty of Diwali night lights, sky lanterns, illuminated homes, and festive celebrations.

Participation & Highlights

• Nearly 30 students participated from different departments.
• A total of 69 photographs were received across all four categories.
• Each entry reflected strong creativity, unique perspectives, and cultural connection.
• The event created a festive and enthusiastic atmosphere on campus.

After the evaluation, Hon. Registrar Dr. Snehil Jayswal Sir motivated the students with his valuable guidance. The results were announced by Photography Club Coordinator Ms. Komal Dangre, followed by certificate distribution.

The DIPOTSAV – Photography Contest 2025 was a grand success. It promoted artistic expression, cultural values, and creative learning among students while celebrating the spirit of Diwali through photography.
