Fireless Cooking Activity

Baker’s Club of GHRIEBM, Jalgaon Organized Fireless Cooking Activity

G H Raisoni Institute of Engineering and Business Management, Jalgaon, conducted a Fireless Cooking Event for students to enhance their creative cooking methods. The purpose was to raise awareness about fireless cooking techniques and their positive impact on energy conservation and environmental sustainability.

Participants learned about alternative methods that don't rely on traditional cooking with fire. This knowledge is crucial for minimizing energy usage and reducing the environmental footprint associated with cooking. By showcasing these techniques, the event promoted a greener and more eco-friendly approach to preparing meals. This initiative of GHRIEBM, Jalgaon, played a significant role in fostering a sense of responsibility among students regarding their impact on the environment. Encouraging sustainable practices like fireless cooking contributes to a healthier planet and empowers individuals to make choices that benefit both themselves and the world around them.

The participants showcased their culinary skills by preparing delicious dishes without the use of traditional cooking methods like stoves or ovens. The fireless cooking event was organized as part of the college's sustainability initiative to encourage students to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. The event emphasized the various alternative cooking methods. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across different departments. Participants formed teams and were given the freedom to choose their recipes and ingredients.

Cooking Methods:

1.      Teams were required to prepare dishes using fireless cooking techniques such as thermal cookers, etc.

2.      The absence of traditional cooking equipment challenged participants to think creatively and experiment with alternative methods.

Judging methods:

1.      Dishes were judged based on taste, presentation, creativity, and adherence to fireless cooking principles.

2.      Judges included Director Madam, & some faculty members.

Students provided valuable feedback, expressing their appreciation for the event and the opportunity to explore unconventional cooking methods. The successful conduction of a Fireless Cooking Event will promote fireless cooking in regular at-home and other establishments.

 The energetic participation of students is a testament to the success of this event, achieving innovative cooking practices. Students are learning more about sustainability and conservative methods for eco-friendly culinary practices. GHRIEBM, Jalgaon is committed to adopting sustainable methods for environment conservation, and this event make that commitment stronger.
