Akash Kandil Making Workshop

Art and Craft Club of GHRIEBM, Jalgaon Organized Akash Kandil Making Workshop

Art and Craft club of Department of Computer Application of G H Raisoni Institute of Engineering and Business Management recently organized an Akash Kandil Making Workshop.

Objective:

1. To preserving cultural traditions

2. To create a shared decorative item for a Diwali from traditional materials as well as modern alternatives like newspaper etc., to increase the positivity of Diwali celebration.

Summary:

1. Introduction to Akash Kandil

The workshop commenced with an overview of the significance of Akash Kandil in [relevant culture or tradition]. The participants gained insights into the historical and cultural importance of this traditional item.

2. Materials and Tools

Material was used which are easily available at home like newspaper, craft paper, gelatine paper etc.

3. Hands-on Demonstration

Ganesh led a hands-on demonstration, guiding participants through the step-by-step process of creating Akash Kandil. This interactive session allowed participants to ask questions and seek clarification.

4. Creative Expression

After the demonstration, participants were encouraged to infuse their creativity into the process. This stage aimed to foster individuality and personal expression while respecting the traditional aspects of Akash Kandil.

 

5. Cultural Significance Discussion

Facilitators and participants engaged in a discussion about the cultural significance of Akash Kandil.

Outcomes:

1. Preserve the tradition

Participants successfully created their own Akash Kandils, showcasing a blend of tradition and individual creativity. The variety of designs reflected the diversity within the group.

2. Team Building

In this workshop students were work in collaborative manner. They did help to each other by transferring the knowledge about making of Akash Kandil, ensuring that this traditional skill is passed on to future generations. Participants left with a newfound appreciation for the cultural heritage associated with this craft.

This workshop was conducted in the presence of Prof. Rafik Shaikh HOD of MCA, Prof. Kalyani Neve HOD of BCA and other faculty members.

The Akash Kandil making workshop proved to be a valuable platform for cultural exchange, creativity, and skill development. By bringing together a diverse group of participants, the event contributed to the preservation and promotion of traditional practices. This workshop helps to celebrate this festival of lights with new hopes and new dreams. Also helps to illuminate your life and banish all darkness.
