Toastmasters Meet at GHRU, Amravati

The Toastmasters Club of G H Raisoni University Amravati organised the Toastmasters Meet on 8th Nov 2023. The roleplayer Seargent At Arms started the meeting. The Presiding officer was called; she officially started the meet by banging the gavel two times as a sign of start and also stated the history of Toastmasters. The next roleplayer, Toastmaster of the day, was introduced, and she efficiently carried the meeting and led it till the end. She introduced everyone to the day's segments, i.e., prepared speeches and impromptu speeches.

Further, the General evaluator was the one who skillfully handled the meeting and, introduced the TAG team and evaluators to the crowd guests and followed in coordination with TMOD. She evaluated everything throughout the session. Now, the TAG team's remaining members came forward as a Timer. She explained her roles and time details related to the speeches and meetings, and as an Ah counter, he foremost explained his role and kept count of unnecessary words, sounds, and pauses used throughout. 

After this, the evaluators came forward. Hence, the first evaluator, TM Shivam, was the evaluating in charge of 1 prepared speaker for level 1 project one, which is an icebreaker speech of TM Komal; the second evaluator, TM Saurabh, was considered in charge of TM Jhanvi for the same, and lastly, the third evaluator TM Trusha was evaluating in-charge of TM Aastha for the same. Later, the TMOD carried out the prepared speeches round, and all 3 participants passed with flying colors by the audience poll. Next, to add more spice to make our meeting presentable and connect the audience to Toastmaster's mission, the roleplayer, Table topic master, was introduced. She playfully and with accurate reports arranged the table topic round for the audience to come and speak on time, which was impromptu, so we received some new Toastmasters.

Finally, the TAG team came up with the overall reports, and were followed by the evaluators with their prepared speech reports. Later, the TMOD conducted a felicitation ceremony by our dear guests for the day, carried by an audience poll, and we received the BestBest of the Day. The meeting was followed by some motivational words by HOD, B. Tech first year, Prof. Pravinkumar Wankhede. Also, Hon. VC sir appreciated the student's hard work and explained the importance of such meetings. PRO Nitin Bhat also attended the meeting. Lastly, the meeting was concluded by a short thanking speech by SAA, and she officially closed the session by banging the gavel two times as a sign to end. The hard work of all the Toastmasters paid off. The event was appreciated not only by the audience but also by the honorable guests. The event in charge, Mrs. Ashwini Rathi, Communication Trainer, GHRU, made great efforts to keep no stone unturned. Thus, the Toastmasters meeting was successful.
