Movie Review Competition held at GHRU, Saikheda

The Movie Review Competition held at G H Raisoni University aimed to provide students with an opportunity to derive significant meaning from movie clips and apply them to their lives and day-to-day transactions. The competition was designed to engage participants intellectually, encouraging them to analyze and interpret cinematic content and its relevance to real life.

Participants:

The competition, known as 'Movie Review Competition,' garnered substantial interest from students at the university, with a total of 40 enthusiastic participants. Students organized themselves into groups of 4-5 members, each group bringing a unique blend of perspectives and knowledge levels. Their active participation demonstrated a strong desire to derive deeper meanings from movies and connect them to their daily lives.

Activities Conducted:

The 'Movie Review Competition' featured a series of movie clips, carefully selected to challenge the participants' analytical and interpretive abilities. The event was conducted under the guidance of the club mentor, Mr. Alok Joshi, who ensured the smooth execution of the competition by the club's student members.

The competition consisted of multiple rounds, each with a distinct focus, designed to assess various facets of the students' ability to draw meaningful insights from cinema. The rounds included:

Interpretation Round: Participants were shown a thought-provoking movie clip and asked to provide their interpretations of the scene's significance in real-life situations.

Application Round: In this round, students were presented with another movie clip and required to identify practical applications of the concepts or lessons portrayed in the clip within their day-to-day transactions.

Discussion Round: The final round involved a group discussion where participants shared their thoughts on the impact of cinema on society and their personal lives.

Judging and Winner:

The 'Movie Review Competition' was judged by Mr. Avinash Mandan, a seasoned psychologist and trainer. His expertise was instrumental in evaluating the depth of insight and clarity of expression in participants' interpretations.

After rigorous evaluation, one group emerged as the winners, demonstrating exceptional understanding and application of cinematic themes to their lives and daily transactions. They were recognized as the deserving champions of the 'Movie Review Competition.'

Outcomes:

The 'Movie Review Competition' at G H Raisoni University, Saikheda, yielded several positive outcomes. It  was a resounding success, offering an engaging platform for students to explore the profound impact of cinema on their lives and transactions. It promoted intellectual growth, teamwork, and critical thinking while fostering a spirit of learning within the college community. This competition not only celebrated the art of cinema but also its meaningful application in the real world.
