Amrutvatika Creation at GHRU, Amravati University Campus

 "Ajadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" marked 75 years of India's independence and was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the nation. The campaign "Meri Mati Mera Desh" was launched as an integral part of this grand celebration to reinforce national pride and promote environmental sustainability. The campaign was a joint effort of government bodies, NGOs, and local communities, and it focused on various aspects of the nation's heritage and culture. To create Amrutvatika on the university campus, 75 saplings were planted by the students and faculty members. Dr.Swapnil Sonone, President of Youth for Nature Conservation, was present as the guest for the event. Dr. Swapnil sir, VC Dr.Vinayak Deshpande, Registrar Prof. Snehil Jaiswal and Dr. Prashant Awachat Dean did the sampling plantation. The "Meri Mati Mera Desh" campaign, with its “Amrut Vatika” project, made a significant impact in fostering patriotism, promoting environmental consciousness, and enhancing the quality of life for Indian citizens.
