Monsoon Photography Contest Conducted at GHRU, Amravati

 In the pursuit of promoting creativity and artistic expression through mobile photography, Photography Club of G H Raisoni University Amravati recently organized a Monsoon Photography Contest. The club coordinator is Ms.Qurratul Ain Kausar Ansari. The theme of the contest revolved around capturing the beauty and essence of the monsoon season through mobile photography. The valedictory program was conducted on 06/09/2023 at seminar hall.

Objectives

The primary objectives of the Monsoon Photography Contest were as follows:

1.            Promote Mobile Photography: Encourage participants to explore the potential of mobile photography as a means of artistic expression.

2.            Celebrate the Monsoon Season: Showcase the beauty and diversity of the monsoon season through photography.

3.            Engage the Community: Foster a sense of community and creativity among mobile photography enthusiasts.

Contest Details

Duration

The google form was shared among the students of G H Raisoni University and deadline was given to the student to upload the photographs from 4 August 2023 till 20 August 2023.

Eligibility

The contest was open to individuals of G H Raisoni University and skill levels who owned a mobile device with a built-in camera.

Submission Guidelines

Participants were required to submit their entries via google form link. Each participant could submit only one entry.

Participants

We received an overwhelming response from photographers of various schools and departments. A total of 30 participants submitted  the photographs.

Winners

After careful consideration and evaluation by a panel of judges, we are pleased to announce the winners of the Monsoon Photography Contest. There was a tie between the third positions. The felicitation of the winners were done by Dr.Vinayak Deshpande Sir,Vice Chancellor G H Raisoni University Amravati and Dr. Mohana Kulkarni, Behavioural counsellor Amravati.

The Monsoon Photography Contest was a resounding success, achieving its objectives of promoting mobile photography, celebrating the monsoon season, and engaging the photography community. We extend our congratulations to the winners and our heartfelt appreciation to all the participants for their enthusiastic contributions.

We look forward to organizing more photography contests in the future, continuing to provide a platform for photographers to share their creativity and passion.
