An Awareness Session on Energy Conservation at GHRIET, Nagpur

Department of electrical engineering in association with IEI student forum and renewable club with reference to 3^rd energy transition working group meeting under G20, organized an awareness session recently on Energy Conservation for students of 2nd semester, G H Raisoni Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur and G H Raisoni university, The objectives of this activity is, To helps students in understanding energy, its generation, consumption, wastage, carbon footprint, impact on the environment, means to avoid and minimize energy usage, alternative energy solutions, ways to become carbon neutral, misconceptions on solar energy, and approach to adopt solar energy solutions.

This activity was conducted in two part, first session was delivered by  Dr. Bhupendra Kumar ,HOD Electrical Engineering Department, on energy sources and its smart utilisation.in his talk he discuss about importance of energy saving, energy calculation and various technique of energy conservation. He also appealed to students to become energy literate. After his session Mr. Yogesh Ikhe faculty of electrical engineering department introduce the students about energy literacy training program of energy swaraj foundation and explain them registration process for the same. All participants successfully registered for energy literacy training and started the journey to become energy literate.
