International Women’s Day Celebration at SRWC, Nagpur

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, an event ‘Prerna 2023’ was organized by SRWC. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Amina Vali, Principal, and SRWC. A myriad of events were held on this day for the well-being of women. Osteoporosis a severe problem found more frequently in women, so in order to increase the awareness for its timely detection a BMD test was performed. BMD test checks the bone mineral density and indicates if the person is suffering or prone to osteoporosis. All female employees of RGI took advantage of this screening. Diet counseling was provided to the persons prone to it.

A nutrition exhibition was arranged were the audience was educated about food items rich in calcium and iron. As India is celebrating this year as millet year the students of Food Science and Technology prepared informative models and charts depicting the importance of different millets.

 A blood donation camp was organized where many individual contributed for the noble cause.
