Virtual Visit to GMR Barge Mounted Power Plant, Mangalore by GHRIEBM, Jalgaon Students
Renewable Energy Club of G H Raisoni Institute of Engineering and Business Management, Jalgaon organized Virtual visit to GMR Barge Mounted Power Plant, Mangalore on 16th December, 2022. GMR group owned Barge Power Plant, the world largest and India’s first barge mounted combined cycle power plant. The use of pollution free naphtha and combined cycle gas turbine technology has enabled maximum thermal efficiency with virtually no sludge. Its capacity is 220 MW. Students virtually visit installation and operation of power plant on sea. The session was coordinated by Dr Saurabh Gupta, Club Coordinator & Dean (R&D and Incubation). Session is attended by more than 150 students. After session, feedback collected from participants. Almost all participants gave excellent feedback for session.
