Vijay Diwas Celebration at SRWC, Nagpur

Vijay Diwas is celebrated on December 16 every year to honor the victory of Indian armed forces over Pakistan in the 1971 war. On the day, India pays homage to all the soldiers who defended the nation. This year marks the 51st anniversary of India's victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, which saw the liberation of Bangladesh, formerly known as East Pakistan. India declared victory on December 16, 1971, after the Pakistani armed forces surrendered. NSS unit of Sadabai Raisoni Women’s College, Nagpur celebrated Vijay Diwas on 16 December 2022. A program was organized at college campus for second year students of BCA/IT students.

NSS student president Ms. Tanushree Tembhare delivered a speech on Vijay Diwas to remember the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian defence forces. A short film on 1971 India Pakistan war was also screened for the students. The program concluded with National Anthem. All SRWC teaching and Non-teaching staff along with Mr. Inderjeet Randhava - RGI Sports coordinator and students were present for the program. The event was organized under the guidance of Principal Prof. Amina Vali and NSS-Program Officers- Prof. Prachi Sasankar and Prof. Priyanka Mandve coordinated the program.
