Yoga for Health Session

Yoga for Health Session at GHRCEM, Pune

Yoga and Fitness Club of G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Pune recently organized Yoga Session for all students, faculties and non-teaching staff members. The program was started with welcome speech of Dr. Akhya Kumar Behera. Mr. Dinesh Bajad, Parth Yoga and Wellness (Pune) was the trainer of the yoga session. He has started the session with Gayatri Mantra.

 

The benefits of yoga are also widely documented and you can hope to improve your health, flexibility, and balance with regular practice. Yoga is as good as basic stretching for easing pain and improving mobility in people with lower back pain. The American College of Physicians recommends yoga as a first-line treatment for chronic low back pain. You may feel increased mental and physical energy, a boost in alertness and enthusiasm, and fewer negative feelings after getting into a routine of practicing yoga. According to the National Institutes of Health, scientific evidence shows that yoga supports stress management, mental health, mindfulness, healthy eating, weight loss and quality sleep.  Mr. Sharad Deshpande, assistant professor (Yoga coordinator) mechanical department, GHRCEM, has given his words of wisdom for the successful conduction of yoga session. Dr. Akhya Kumar Behera, Yoga Coordinator has given the vote of thanks. Total 56 persons have been benefited through this Yoga session.
