Anchoring Competition

Anchoring Competition Conducted At GHRU, Amravati.

Cultural Club of G H Raisoni University, Amravati Organized one-day anchoring competition recently. The opening ceremony of the workshop was attended by Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Vinayak Deshpande, Public Relations Officer, Nitin Bhat, Head of Student Club, Prof. Vishal Sapthe and Prof. Ashwini Rathi was present on the stage. The program started with lamp lighting and Saraswati Puja. While addressing the students, Dr. Deshpande Said that the responsibility of a narrator or anchor is huge and punctuality should be his constant. Nitin Bhat highlighted the importance of the narrator by saying, the anchor is the face of the program as the anchor speaks the first word and the last word is also his. Prof. Sapate suggested that the field of communication can be seen as a great career opportunity as the youth are drawn to different fields. Prof. Rathi said, don't look at the presentation as work but as art. After the Inaugural Ceremony, demonstration of presentation of different types of programs was presented. 10 contestants participated in this

The students gathered tips on various topics like how to bring the audience to the audience while speaking, how to prepare to speak before speaking, how to do justice to the topic and how to make an impression as a speaker, narrator or moderator while maintaining presence. B Tech final year Snehal Shinde won the first prize and Forensic Science final year student Athira Gopalakrishnan the second prize. Examining the competition by Prof. Sanket Gaikwad  while Hardik handle the program and proposed the vote of thanks.
