Session on “Mental health” at GHRCE, Nagpur

 

Under the hobby club : Fitness Yoga Pranayam and Meditation Club, organized a Session on 21 Oct, 2022 on "Mental Health" for first year students and members of the club. The session focused on various facets of hobbies ranging from significance of hobbies Pranayam, Satvik food, healthy habits and Meditation. Session was conducted by Dr Nalini Vaidya having expertise in the particular domain of Healthy habits and mental health.

She focused on how to keep oneself to be strong by adopting good habits and taking intake of nutritious food, for examples over spending, junk food are bad habits while touching feet of elders, taking mask before leaving the home now a days are the good habits. Good hobby evolve to good personality. Hobby makes you strong emotionally, and builds up confidence. He also explained three objectives of picking a hobby ie; physical, emotional and logical. Lastly he explains effects of stress such as physical, mental, behaviour effects. He emphasise on discipline, benefits of keeping oneself in discipline, team work and execution.

 During and after the session resource person addressed all the queries raised by the attendees. Participants appreciated the contents of the lecture and the easy with which it was conducted by the resource person. Attendees also thanked the college management for arranging this guest lecture and requested organization of many more such sessions in future.
