Seminar on Noise Measurement Using Smartphone Application Noise tracker

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) noise pollution is the third most hazardous environmental type of pollution after air and water pollution and researchers always face problems while noise monitoring. To solve these kind of issues researchers from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI), Nagpur, have developed a unique Noise Tracker Application (App) to measure the real-time noise level using android smartphones.

Sadabai Raisoni Women’s College organized a seminar on “Noise Measurement Using Smartphone Application Noise tracker” .Er.Satish K.Lonkhade, Sr.Technical Officer, NEERI addressed the students on perils of noise pollution and measures undertaken to curb it. He also introduced the initiative of CSIR-NEERI where student volunteers from SRWC will work in collaboration with NEERI to measure noise pollution in their nearby areas.
